Remove Row

So I am trying to delete a row in a table. It is the first row. I want to delete it so old information is gone and the other information moves up. But the screen just makes some sort of jump and it's still there. So I tried deleting all the info from that row so the row would be empty. Still, the same thing. I highlight the row and click "remove row" and it just sits there. Any ideas what the problem may be? Thanks.

I try'd both ways, it works for me.
Have you got the newest version of x5?
What happens if you test on a fresh page with a fresh table? Is there anything special in the table? pictures? colours ?

Thanks for your reply.
I shall create another page with a new table and see what that does. Otherwise, to answer your question, I think the row has 4 cells: one with a graphic, two plain texts, and the last one linked text.
FWIW, I'm on Win7 Pro 64bit.
(now I just need to find how to turn on notify...)

I created another table and was able to remove any row without incident. I put a graphic in one of the cells and it deleted without a problem. On an existing tabe in another page, I was able to remove a row. BUT on the main (home) page, I cannot. It doesn't make sense. Here is the table in question (if seeing it helps at all):

I believe I see the problem now. It must be the cell on the right (which is attatched and is part of the table). It can't delete the row because the cell on the right is a merge of all the rows. If I remove the two rightmost columns, then I can delete rows in the left side of the table.
Thanks for helping me figure out the problem. Though it wasn't the exact problem/solution, I shall mark it so as you led me there.
