So for backup it would a be good idea to export the .iwp or .iwzip through the ftp-connection to the server where the web-site is published or place the file in i.e. dropbox or Windows Live where you have access to from everywhere?

Ok i'm not very technologically in know with regards to the formats of the files and such. I have however recovered the template for the website from the companys database (this is the exact last template which was uploaded). I used the evolution 8 system to export my template before. Would it be possible to upload my evolution 8 onto one more laptop or would I have to get the evolution 9 and would this be compatible with my old format.

Thank you for the help!

yes you can do this.

You can install the evolution 8 in your laptop or if you want you can install also the Evolution 9.
