Is the drive letter always the same? Do you have the external disk connected before you start the program?

Try to start the program and then press CTRL while you click on preview and check if then the images are again visible.

- Yes, but it had name "O:", disk "F:" was the same as now

- I started the program and then press CTRL while clicking on preview. I waited more than 1 hour before I saw my site preview. Nothing good - as before images are not visible (see Fig.4, Fig.5 in attachment. On Fig.4 path to file in red color was taken from Windows Explorer).

3) - Maybe Website X5 has some limits on image number?

Hello Oleg,

When you use external drives it is important these have always the same drive letter.

It does not depends on a limit but more on the fact these images were not found by the program when it tried to load them.

The best option is to copy these on the C:\ drive and probably alos reduce them so these are arelady optimized to occupy less space, and then you add these to the project again from the C:\ Drive.

Does it happens also with other images or only these?

If it's only these check also if the folder name containing russian characters and space could be the issue by renaming it and then adding these images again in the program.

1) I didn't place on a site any images from temporarily connected disk

2) My previous version of a site (placed on http://butterflies-32.net), during the opening, represervation and viewing and now looks perfectly even with pathnames in Russian!

3) A new version of my site differs from the former significantly more pictures , about 200 of them are compressed with high quality means of the Website X5. Content on the new site, I spent about two months, regularly viewing the results , and did not notice any errors. Really after implementing your recommendations again I have to spend as much time refilling of the site? My bad result - this is a feature of the program or a bug? Where can I read clearly detailed formulated recommendations that you told me? Is there a detailed manual for Website X5 in English or Russian language, which clearly says how to build a work with program to avoid any situations similar to mine?

Hello Oleg,

Unfortunately we do not have any person fluent in russian.

I asked you to try with a different path name or different images to see if it could depend on this since it worked before always correctly for you and now something changed and the images are no longer visible.

We need to indetify what is changed and with this test we could see if it depends on the external HD which could not be found, or the path name or the images itself which are not loaded by the program.

To avoid to work on the current project you can also make the test with a new project to see if you get the same error with these images.

1) My new site received as a duplicate (by means of Website X5 menu) of old. On the old site, everything looks right, all the images are displayed correctly. The new site received from an old with adding new menu items, pages, and lots of photos.

2) I compared the look of my old and new sites in the presence of a temporarily connected drive  and without it. No difference found. Those images that inherited from the old site to the new site are not shown ("File not found"), although all the paths to photos when editing the pages look correct. Images that were on the old site, become visible if you remove all references to them and re-add.

3) In general, the program behaves unpredictably. In particular, in the gallery of "Icons" series by pressing the ">" or "<" buttons on the sides of slides, sometimes able to display all the slides, sometimes less, even only 3 because the ">" or "<" no longer be displayed.

In connection with this I have 3 questions:
 
a) If I create a new site based on a duplicate of the old, can it help to maintain the normal behavior of the new site with old photographs by duplicating using operating system facilities instead of duplicating by means of Website X5?

b) Is it possible to update the program adding in its menu item "refresh" similar to how it is done in web browsers, Windows Explorer and other programs so that paths to the images that are displayed when you create pages, be correctly interpreted by the program'core?

c) After all, is there a manual for Website X5 and where can I see it?
