Duplicate files found in "files" directory

Duplicate files found in "files" directory for no reason. In the attached image, the file with the longer name is the file that is under the hyperlink. The shorter file is not used in the website at all.
1) Can I delete the shorter files without affecting the website structure?
2) If NOT, what do I do?

this fiel list are on the server or on the pc?
You can remove all file of the site on the server end re-export the site completly.

These files are on the PC.
Some were deleted from the site a while back but are still found in the PC folder.
What can I do in that case?

Hello Akram,
try to go in the folder where WebSite X5 save the file of the project (you can see it in the preference windows).
Then delete the folders "Previews" and "upload".
Open WebSite X5, select the project and click on the CTRL+Preview, then connect with your server and remove all file of the site, ri-export all the site.
