Dan, I tried this, and I can copy it to all these places.

Do you use your keyboard for copy past ? Have you try'd the other ctrl key on your keyboard ?

What if you use the buttons from x5? For instance just in a text object with the buttons past and past special ?

Hi Andre, thanks for the tip I will try it -- right now I use my mouse -- I do a select, say a web address place in a command box, I highlight the selected address then right click and select "copy"  Then I go to Website 5X and put the cursor in the command box and right click the mouse and a file menu appears and the PASTE command is highlighted and I select that -- normally the text or what ever is on the clip board will then appear as pasted into the command box.  For another example, I have a series of TAGS in Word, and I highlight these TAGS and then go to the TAG box or one of the Web pages and I right click in the Tag Box, the menu comes up the PASTE is highlighted and i select it, click it but the TAG box, or page, stay empty -- nothing.  It all acts like it is working, no error messages just a blank.  I do not have a problem with copy paste in the editor for pages, that works but copy paste anywhere else fails??

Andre, I tried the keyboard for copy and paste but it did not work.  I go to the Page Properties, for example, and two window boxes appear, like this on here that we are typing in, and the top box say, Page Discription and the lower box say,   Website key words -- Rather than having to retype the Key Words I want to use "copy paste", bringing selected key word over from Word processor and Paste inot the Key Word Box, everything works fine except the box stays blank, I can go back to Word and right click the mouse and the word I had previously copied will appear when pasted.  So I know the copy paste is working, but not in Page Properties and a couple of other place in Website X5

1.  Copy and Paste DOES work in the Page Editor - like copying a document from Word to the Editor windos

2. Copy and Paste does NOT work in Page Properties -

3. Copy and Paste does NOT work in Video/Audio menu to enter internet address, like YouTube

4.  When a Copy command is used then going to an entry window, like page properties, and the paste feature is brought up in the properies, or and address, the PASTE Highlight, signifying it is ready to use.  Clickin on the PASTE the menu blinks and disappears, as normal but all that remains is a blinkin cursor in the chosen window -- it remains blank????

5.  It appears Copy Paste is working only in the Editor and now where else.  If this could be fixed it would be a huge time saver.

I'm sorry but you have to look for this problem on your own pc. It works with mine without any problems, I selected the first tex line from your post and pasted it inside all page properties and also in the video url.

Is there a setting in your operating system that might prevent this in some cases? Your firewall ? Is the key ctrl-v it in use by another open program ?

I made you 1 seenshot with both pages.

If you can't find anything strange, then try to de-install x5, and downlod the latest version from your profile and install this one.

Thanks Andre I will dig a little deeper -- if it is working on yours it should be on mine.  I was looking for the simple answer, of course, but it seems there is nothing simple.  Thanks again, I can see that you see and understand my problem clearly, so it must be on my end.  Peace, Dan
