Not what i saw in preview

after uploading my page, I am having some issues. in preview it looks great but when I visit the page I see something I don't want, click the homepage link and it takes me to the page I would see in preview mode. I am using I page as my host and uploading via ftp. i have overwritten the files, I have cleaned out the folder and reloaded. nothing gets rid of initial page, that I don't see in preview mode.

did you empty your public_html folder?

Check if your website adress that you set up is step 1 general settings is correct, and is set for your home page. (website adress, URL)
Try refreshing your memory/cash by pressing ctrl-F5 when your check your internet site.
This prevents taking info from an older version from your pc cash.
