I need to add a table within a page.
For example, 3 columns X 3 Rows. I see an icon for tables, but can't figure how to place it where I want to create the table with the text in Step 3.
Thanks,
Louis

Just drag the table object into your page where you want it.
double click it, then you can edit it.
Use the bottons on top to add rows or colums or delete them.
Put some text in any cell or a picture, an empty grid will not show up.

I am unable to do that.
What shows on the left is a blank page with the T for text object.
If I drag the table object over to that it says another object is present in that cell do I want to overwrite it? Of course I don't.
I've combined the four cells which are now filled with text.
I can't see that actual page to be able to place a table. Just that blank page with the T.
When I click the T or edit, it opens the page but then the choice of the Table object is gone. So now what?

In addition, I can't SEE where I want it because the actual page isn't there for me to be able to see where to place it.
Eeagle Warrior, it looks like it would be a good idea that you should read the help documentation, thoroughly, especially on page layout and how objects are to be placed on pages, you are doing things fundamentally wrong, I can asure you the table object works as expected.

I have been reading it and am still having problems. Maybe I need to look at something else before time runs out on getting rid of this.
It would be nice if you or someone told me what I am doing wrong and led me to the right way. From then on I would know what I'm doing and would have less of a presence here.
I thought this forum was for receiving support and having issues resolved and not for slap on the wrist and scoldings.

I'm sure the table works fine, I can't make it work though. That's why I posted a question for help. I made the page to one cell and it's filled with text. Am I to undo all that??
Some patient help would be great.
You start a page with no objects, after that you drag an object in to 1 of the standard 4 boxes. You can enlarge it so it will take up all the space of the webpage but then there is no room for any other object (like a table)
If you use the top left box for a text object then you can not put another object over it, that space is for text in your website.A text and a table can not occupy the same space. But you can set the table below it or to the right.
So create another empty box by adding a row or a kolum.
If you do a row you can set the table below or above your text, A kolum to the left or right of your text.
Hope this helps.

Eagle Warrior, Andre has explained some good points to follow, it can be a bit difficult to work out how the columns and rows work if you are new to web design and how the html code actually works, X5 page layout works pretty much like a table with one object per cell. If after a while you are still have problems, I can spend some time and write you out a step by step process, including screenshots of how to create a web page, using some different objects, including a table.
Dont give up yet, there is a lot to learn.
