Deleting files

I have deleted some files and data from my website but when I go to upload my new website the old files appear in the uploading section. I have tried to delete them from here but they still appear .

But do you see the new website on internet (after using ctrl-F5) ?
If so I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes it takes also time to really remove it (depends on webhost)
Else make a full delete, then do a full upload.

If you delete all files from your webhost, your website will be gone and all unnecesary files.
You then immadiatly upload the new site, in the between time the site is not correctly available. (But how many time takes it to upload ? or do you have a very big website)
There is no way around that !
Other option is to upload and leave the files, like I said, when the website looks good it's not a big deal.
