Hi, I updated the tool today to version 11.0.2. Until then, I believe I as able to indicate on th welcome page, whether the user had to wait say 3 seconds before going to the homepage or user could click on graphic I used, in ordr to jump to homepage.

I cannot fnd that option anymore. Also, is there a way to make add a hyperlink to a flash anmation?

Hello Michel,

The 'Jump to homepage' option is still there.  You will find it in the Welcome Page properties in Step 4 Advanced Settings.

See my screenshot if necessary.

As to your second question, do you want to link to a Flash animation from within X5, or do you wish to insert a hyperlink within a Flash animation itself?

Kind regards,

Paul

Thanks Paul for quick reply. I did find the jump to homescreen option. So, what I have on my welcome page is flash animation, which takes say 15 seconds to complete one cycle.

Previously I used a JPG picture and believe I could indicate that both clicking and time was possible. See here: www.menrov.nl. Time is set to 3 seconds but if you click on the picture in the middle, it will jump immediately to the homepage.

Now I have a flash animation but clicking on the animation will not jump to te homepage. That is what I was looking for. See www.menrov.com

Thanks

Michel

I see exactly what you mean, Michel, but can confirm that this is not related in any way to the 11.0.2.13 update.  This difference in behaviour between images and flash files in the Welcome Page is the same even in version 10...  I have just checked.

It is as if the 'onclick' event is disabled whilst the Flash animation is looping.  You may be able to manually combine your SWF file with JavaScript which responds to a mouse click using option 4 in the Type drop-down menu, HTML Code.

Or you may be successful by inserting JavaScript or HTML in the Welcome Page by using the 'Expert' tab in the page properties in Step 2.  Even a straightforward text link "Click to skip intro" might work...  I haven't had time to test yet.

However, we can ask the Incomedia staff for their comments before exploring that option further.  Please monitor this thread for a reply from them, but bear in mind that the support staff are out of office until Monday.

Best regards,

Paul

Hello Michel,

The program cannot add a link to as flash animation. If you want to add a link to a specific page to a flash animation you need to to it with the program you used to create it where you add the link function when clicked.

The program can add only a link to an image file.

Many thanks!
