Using tables in Website X5 Home

Hi there,
I'm trying to put a table inside an example website I'm building using Website X5 Home. However, whenever I use the <table> coding (or even the likes of <p></p>) Website X5's automatic style makes the text extremely tiny and completely illegible.
I understand that the Widgets function is recommended usually, but Home version lacks that functionality.
Any suggestions? Or do I need to buy a new licence?
Thanks!

Hello Robert,
You need to use CSS to set the font type and size for the HTML code which you are using for your table.
To be honest I have never used the Home edition so I'm not able to advise you whether or not it is relatively easy to add the CSS. The Home edition does lack many of the features of the more comprehensive editions.
Why not consider upgrading to one of the bigger editions? After all, the whole point behind WebSite X5 is to remove most of the tedious manual coding jobs like this.
You might even be entitled to a discount... have a look here:

Kind regards,

Thanks Paul,
Money restraints when you're under-employed (rare call-outs for work) restrict me from making a purchase at the moment, but I'll try the CSS trick you suggested (and see if I can adjust my budged). Didn't screw my head on correctly, forgetting about adding some of my own CSS >_>
Still surprised me the font changed so dramatically when you entered it in the 'Text' fields as HTML - you can see the 'heading' text in the above attachment (which had no deliberate HTML coding done for that part) is perfectly legible, but once you hit the table, *boom* formatting change.
I've flicked through the code created by Website X5 - do you think the large number of spans it creates would have anything to do with the formatting oddities?
Oh right - will write back as soon as I've tried the CSS tweak to advise if it works.
Thanks again!

Hi Paul,
Seems the CSS automatically sets tables to have 1pt text size (the smallest possible).
Manually changing that in the individual page's CSS files fixes that problem, but it also seems to inherit the strange behaviour of indenting the table on some (not all) tables... And that's not part of the individual page's CSS.
Will keep you updated. At this point it's a mostly, if not entirely, CSS issue by the look of it.
Does the Widget functionality avoid the indents and other strange formatting? If I have to do this for every page I make the cost of upgrading to X5 Evolution to avoid doing so will be worth the money..!
