I had a hard drive crash. I reinstalled windows and then website5x ver 11.
I have good backups of all the projects.
When I open ver 11 there are of course no projects so I browsed to the place where the resotred projects are at. The problem is that website 5x is looking for the iwzip file and it is not there since the projects were not exported.
How to I get those projects back?

yo are saying that you have a good backups of all project, if you create a back up of your project, it will be saved as iwzip. so where did you save them?
published website is not consider as a back up project.
read the post below, that is how yo can use the auto back up of your projects.

I did not do a "proper backup".. I thought that since the project files where they are saved i backed up that is enough.
So, I don't have the iwzip file.
I read the article, it did not include ver 11 instructions, but doing it like it said I can't seem to figure it out. Are you saying the instructions in https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/47713should work for me?
part that talks about evo 10 should work for you.
if you still have the folder of your project, it should work. normaly that folder will be found inside my document/Incomedia/WebSite X5 v11 - Evolution/project name/ (if you installed everything in their default folder and did not change any of those settings)
if you do not have that folder, you need to create your project from the beginning, it does not take that long, since you have all the graphic part (you can find them inside your published folder. you need to copy/pate your language inside the new project, and do the settings.

That did the trick.. putting the projects in the same path.. For what it is worth, and I am not saying this in a mean tone.. Just saying that IMO.. there should be a way to open a project that is not in the path you mentioned as long as all the project stuff is there. To back it up the way you require is an extra step that is eaily forgoten and I don't beleive that is common knowledge. Anyway all's well that ends well..

I take it back.. there is still a problem.. a screen shot is attached. This was taken of the preview of the site.
I copied the entire project file to
C:\Users\wtucker\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v11 - Evolution
what am I missing?

I guess what I need to know is.. How can I see the path that it is looking for. Not only for the web site "template" stuff but also for some images.. I thought I mapped the drive the same but apparently not. I have a slide show that is not finding the images and I don't see how to know what path it is looking for.
William,
project files will remeber the original path of every single file, unless you make a project copy, in that case, program will pack everything to gether as a single file.
project is looking for your original path of the images you add to your website, but its look like you map drive did not do the trick.
don't you remember where do you have your original images? or they are missing since you change your entire OS (windows).
if you dont remember, then start adding them back from one of your published websites.
also you can search inside your hard drive for one of the images, that will give an idea to where are the rest of the images
since I can not see the bg name to start with, lets start with searching your hard drive for williams-101a.jpg
btw, where did you find that folder to move it to your document?
any where other than the original place means you change the path first time around that is why its been saved to another place. or maybe still it was the problem with the map drive!
