goto the object select it, (just select do not doube click) click cellstyle button on top

for the left object set outer margin on the right side to a lower value.

For the right object do the same but then for the left outer margin.

ok, That distance, this depens on the character you choose. But you can't change it. Only by choosing another character or make charakter smaller. You can have some influence.

But thats it unfurtanatly.

What Andre is saying in a nutshell is that it all depends on the font and font size which deterimines the gap between the lines.

Why not create the page/s in word/open office etc where you have total control over linespacing, generate a pdf and use the pdf widget to display the page on your site?

In websites you do not have as much possibilities as you have with a text process program. It is way better in CSS but still not everything is possible. Maybe another user knows how to do this using coding, I shall see myself if I can find ssomething that works with x5 but have no time for it at this moment....

I'm just saying that inside x5 there is nu such option. The only thing you can do is make the object field bigger, and also check if there is a better character. Or try too get less text. Also changing the inner margin gives you a bit more space, but it looks less good an you win only a very small margin.

One other option you could use as well, create a small picture like a magnifier glass in your page. Link that to a hidden page you made in step2, you can even in the properties set it without use of template.

you can then link that picture (magnifier glass) to this hidden page and make it pop up, now you can use a full page and you have maximum view capicity for your text.

But thats about it, If you dont need people to search for the text or need to copy it, or to be found on internet then an option is also to make it in a word processor and copy it as picture, but I think this is a lousy idea. The pdf is also nice, but I'm not sure if search engines pick this up as text and this depends on the pdf programm the person has on his pc.

But Why not set this as an idea post ? Maybe Incomedia can devolop this I realy think it would be an asset to x5!

I have WebSite X5 Evolution 8, WebSite X5 Evolution 10, WebSite X5 Evolution 11 and at the moment WebSite X5 Profetional 11. As the result I can not end a few sites.

To make WebSite X5 is a very good idea. But it was necessary to make a very good word processor too - like in Joomla for example. But the authors of WebSite X5 have made only half of work - they made only the semifinihsed program, it is my opinion. Because of this they have lost a large number of consumers - users of WebSite X5.

Today it is impossible to make a simple primitive programs. Programsmust haveall the necessaryfeatures andcapabilities for creating websites.

All is the same like with Word 2003: no chaiges for indent, no changes for the distance between lines!
