Preview problems

Hello.
I cannot now use "Preview" when I make editorial changes to my website. (Windows 10)
There seems to be massive use of RAM and the PREVIEW shows a corrupted page most times.
This problem was never resolved for me in these posts.
I am now using Firefox as my default browser, although I expect Google Chrome is still being used for the PREVIEW.
Could I please have an in depth set of instructions to put this problem right?

Gosh! I seem to have resolved the problem by clearing the cache via Firefox.
My busiest page, Home Page, pre-viewed instantaneously!
I am quite amazed as I am sure I have done this many times n the past...but THIS TIME it seems to have worked!
