I would like to import my existing website and use X5 going forward. The idea of retyping and cutting and pasting is daunting. Id there a simple way to just grab my site and pull it in?

If you made it with x5, you should be able to do so. if it is made differently then no, but you can offcource copy and paste items from internet (and pictures) into a new project file of x5 this should make live just a bit easyer.
