Hi there
I have just updated fron X11 pro to x12 pro.
Unfortunately on each start up I was required to reactvate my program. This required me to log onto the server and supply my product key each time.
I also struck problems with the preview application of the builder which appeared to have been hijacked by some malware which took me off to some othe sites. Needless to say I had to restart often and now I cannot do anything with in the pogram.
The program now indicates that I have a problem and that the program needs to be reinstalled.
Now I cannot do anything which is very disappointing as I have only run the program successfully once.
Is there some help for this/these problems?
Regards Peter A

Thanks for that. Works ok as long as I'm logged on as an administrator. Not really optimal as I have my files under a user profile.

Hello Peter, you installed under the "main" administrator profile? Yes, then:
Simple answer: you'll have to install under the user profile.
Back up your projects in a different folder/drive just to be safe. Uninstall X5 under admin that you installed. Then do a search for any incomedia/x5 folders/files and delete them. DO NOT DELETE your projects in the incomedia docs folder of course. Now change your "user" profile to an adim account then install under that user profile as an adim. Go back under admin and change the user back to standard. Then under user the first time you open X5 do it as an adiministrator.(right click) Good idea to do this the first time when you've installed a program under a user profile.
To bad incomedia and other programs don't explain this better in their FAQs and system requirements. It would certainly save everyone time. I've also installed under a user profile then had to go back, uninstall and reinstall under the administrator. A quirk from Win 7 on as the "for all users" is gone.
