Hanging on Save - Stuck on 98%

Hi,
Never had this problem before but my current project is hanging on 98% when trying to save. It won't let me change fields on the left but i can still edit the current page behind the saving bar.
I'm scared to restart mid save because it could corrupt the file and i would loose the entire project.
Is this s known issue? Can anyone give me advice on how to get past this ibsticle without looking all my work.
I'm working in version 12

If anyone else has this problem i fixed it by closing the software, you have to wait about an hour before it will let you attempt that. Then don't click save again or it does the same thing and you have to wait again. Instead export the project to disk. Then re-import it back into the software.
