Conversion Problems with versions 8,9,10 to 12  en

I own vers. 9, 10, 11 and now 12. When I imported sites created in the earlier versions to version 12 it changed the website template to something all together different. Attempts to find the original template in version were futile. How do I keep the original template? Or do I have to run all three versions?

Ver 9 or 10 or even before it is possible to store your own templates and export. I use already as long as possible and are only made templates as your own stored template so you are covered from version to version easily and are protected by the respective export even more available.

Sorry I am no understanding what you are saying. The template I use are already part of the program. Ver 8, 9 and 10 and 11 were used to build my sites. When I got version 12 the program creators say you can import your earlier site into the new version. But when I do that it changes the template to something it picks.

If you have a template document in a custom template transform by Add in the custom library, you can export the template and it will be retained even when the acquisition of the project in a new version. additionally it might then be imported again.

Archie, did you import by simply copying and opening the earleir version files, or did you first export the project (setp 5?) using the old version, and then import the iwzip file.  Using this method I have found version 12 holds the old template for any project.
