Hello.

I have beel using Websitex5 evo9 for a long time now and every thing was working ok.

but last website update resulted in a error to the shopping cart.

no mater what i do or what i change (uploaded files from scratch about 20 times already)

i always get the same error.

The website works perfect until i try to add any product to the shopping cart, once i do i get the error:

This webpage has a redirect loop

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Tried on two diferent computers same error.

Once this happens the only way to be able to acces the website again is to clear all browser history.

I finaly changed all the "Add to cart" links to "contact" links so as to try and not lose custumers.

I created a hidden page wher you can try to add a product to cart and esperience the error:

http://pmairsoft.com/hidden.html

Can i get help solving this problem.

Tanks in advance.

Hello Paulo,

In the first instance could you please delete ALL WebSite X5 files from your server.  Then hold down the CTRL key whilst entering the Preview mode.  Finally, upload ALL WebSite X5 files to the server in Step 5, not just those recently modified.

You say that the last update seemed to cause the problem, but the last update to version 9 was many months ago.  Could you advise whether you have recently added or edited any other files on the server, in particular the .htaccess file?

If not, and the issue persists then please remove the custom code which you have added to the page, and test again.

Could you also please add your licence details to your profile using the following link, so we can help you better:

Many thanks,

Paul

I already did the clean upload abou 20 times i mean deleting all files from server and upload the whole website. In every time changing small setings to see if anithing solved the issue.

I did non manualy change any file.

When i say last update i mean update of the files to my server. Not update of websitex5

I always press controll preview befor update and i always delete all files in server befor new upload.

Website works perfect on preview. But it stops working once on line.

I am not a expert but is seems like a problem in the x5engine causing a loop redirect but i dont know enouf to edit it manualy.

Realy need your help on this one !

Tanks in advance.

The URL you linked to above (http://pmairsoft.com/hidden.html), which is no longer loading.

There were lines of custom code in the body of the page when I viewed the source.

x5engine.php won't be at fault unless you have edited it...  have you?  If so, then reinstall version 9 which will restore the original, working file.

This issue will almost certainly be due to the last edit you made to your WebSite X5 project (code, Objects you added/edited), or a change you have made on the server.

Unfortunately official support for version 9 has now ended:
