Mobile Compatable
Autor: Dave E.Over many many months I have been requesting the answer to my problem to no avail.
""X5 has normal templates and mobile templates, in the sales patter it states that the normal templates are compatible with iphones/mobile devices etc. When I asked some time ago as to why they had seperate mobile templates when normal templates would suffice nobody could say.""
My site is definateley not compatable. Paul M a moderator said back in 2013:
""You don't have to do a thing, actually. Version 10 of Website X5 is very smart in this regard, and will create a compatible design for you automatically, which will look good and function well on desktops and mobile devices alike.""
I said Thanks for the quick response. Understand what you are saying but if thats the case why have they got "mobile" templates available?? the moderator didnt know!! He said:
""That's a good question, and one I can't give you an informed answer to. Maybe someone else will chip in.""
Then on another occasion I was given a tip which im afarid was not very clear to me and the moderator chipped in with:
""In any case wait for the reply of Anthony to be sure the code is correct since we do not give support to custom HTML code.""
This wasnt much help.
Does X5 support mobile devices with there standard templates?? or do i need to create a mobile website to work alongside and how is this done.
I worked through various X5 over the years but this is now beyond a joke and I am thinking of changing companies to someone who gives help.
Any help appreciated.
Dave
Currently the version 12pro is to exist with all the features with responsive representation for mobile devices with the possibility of the Google test. V10 is unfortunately out of date and no longer appropriate.
Read the page websitex5.com the functions in v12pro and when comparing the versions after.
