Question about member login  en

I have a question about member login.

I made a member login called ledenpagina. The question about this i have is the next one.

In the head menu you see the tab called ledenpagina. when you click this you can insert your name and password and get into the pages which are only opened for logged in members. problem i have is that when you didn't login, you can see the complete sub-menu under ledenpagina. you can't get into those pages if you are not logged in. thata's not the problem. but i would like to see only the head menu called ledenpagina. and when you have logged in that you only then see the submenu. so not everyone who comes on the website knows what's under the logged in section.

I hope i made my problem clear to you, and excuse me for my bad english since i'm from the netherlands.

website url is: www.vsc-de-zeilberg.nl

Hi; probably it is  only your pc that has that bad behavior (cache?), because I tried with my laptop and is impossible to access to content of ledenpagina without registration.

My regards.

Gabriele.

Hello Remy,

I understand what it is you would like to do, and unfortunately I do not believe it is possible using WebSite X5 native features.

You can certainly hide pages in WebSite X5 (make them invisible in the menu)  -  however, these pages will remain invisible in the menu even after a user is logged in.

What you need is a conditional check to ascertain whether or not a user is logged, and if so then the corresponding sub-sections of your 'Ledenpagina' menu become visible.  Unfortunately this is not possible without resorting to custom code.

What I have done in the past when faced with a similar situation has been to create a series of text links in a Text Object placed on each protected page, and arranged visually with the appearance of a little sub-menu.  In your case these links would then point to each protected page in turn...  'Statuten', 'Huishoudelijk Regelement', 'Downloads', etc.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Paul

...sorry, I misanderstood your question, and to solve it, in my opinion, if you click "Hide this page" for each voice of the submenu, the main menu show only "ledenpagina"...

Thnx gabriele and Paul.

@ gabriele. But if i do this and hide the pages, then when the members have logged in they álso can't see the sub menu or am i seeing this wrong?

@paul. I'm not that good with making websites, (just began with it) so i yhink this is pretty difficult to do.

Thnx for the answers

gr.

Remy

That's correct, and is what I was trying to explain in my initial reply...  unfortunately I think Gabriele has misunderstood the question you were asking, and what you would like to achieve.

Best wishes...
