Tabs in text module on touch devices  en

Dear Incomedia,

I used vertical tabs in my prject (top of text object) and there's a problem on touch devices. The view changes to next tab when you swipe horizontally or vertically. Horizontally seems fine as it corresponds to tabs settings. But why does it also work while you swipe vertically? When the object takes up the whole screen it is impossible to scroll up or down as swiping up/down changes tabs. Can this be fixed somehow or maybe there are settings for that that I'm not aware of?

Best regards,

Tom

Dear Riccardo,

http://context.edu.pl/harmonogram-kursow-pilgrims-2016.html

Try launching it on a mobile. When you get to the text field with tabs and the field takes up the whole screen it's impossible to swipe up/down as doing so changes tabs in the text field. The tabs are set to horizontal so you would expect horizontal swipe to change tabs. But vertical swipe causes change of tabs not scrolling up/down the site. I have attached a screnshot from my Galaxy S5. At this point swiping horizontally or vertically causes change of tabs. The reasonable thing would be: swipe horizontally=change horizontal tabs, swipe vertically= scroll website. In this case the text field with tabs takes up the whole screen=stuck, can't scroll website content/

I hope I've been clear on the issue. If not let me know and I'll try to explain in more detail.

Regards,

Tom.

I have the same exact issue Tom describes.  I'll follow this post to stay in the loop.  Tom, in the meantime, I found a workaround, but it is not elegant.  First I create a hidden page with the content I want in the tabs.  Then I upload.  Then...  In the body of the tabs I inserted html that embeds an iframe with the url of the hidden page.  When the user touches on that embedded frame, it scrolls up and down with up and down swipes. I did need to adjust the page properties of the hidden page so that the width fits well inside the tab.  Too wide and it looks funny, too thin and it leaves big margins that are suceptible to the up/down acting like right/left.  Hope this helps.  Looking forward to a real fix Website X5!
