First : notice that the full calendar is NOT a calendar. It is a static viewer, and it has problems with showing recurring events.
If Your need is nothing else than a very simple static viewer, then the "full calendar" can be used.
If You need a real calendar, then there is the free Google calendar, and the best calendar that are also free, is the LuxCal calendar. http://www.luxsoft.eu the sits has a try-demo
Both are really easy to integrate in the X5 software.
The LuxCal has more functions than the Google calendar.
You can see examples here : http://www.calendarforum.dk/restaurant/how-to-book.html
and here : http://www.calendarforum.dk/cottages/cottage-list.html
Both examples are made with X5 evolution 12.
For the booking-tables are used the WebAnimator software.
You can see instructions how to integrate with X5 here : http://www.calendarforum.dk/integrating-iframe-x5.html
If You don't want a real calendar but only the "full calendar" and You can't see data in it, then try to find out where the problem is. If You can't either see data when You load the ics file in e.g. the Google calendar, it can be that there are no data in the file. When You export from e.g. Outlook, You have to specify what date interval You want to export - if You don't specify something, You will probably get nothing.
Both the Luxcal and the Google calendar can import ics files(s) - but here You can edit the events if You give access to it.
