The HTML Editor in the create new page doesn't work. I can't insert html with copy and paste, it doesn't paste to the window. I've tried typing the code in the window but it then triples my typing and if I try using the cancel button it doesn't do anything. I've deleted the new page and started over but nothing works. I've saved my project after the page is deleted and uploaded the new changes but when I check in my cpanel file manager the page hasn't been deleted so I have to delete it from there. I've checked for updates but it says websiteX5 is uptodate. Do you recommend me uninstalling and reinstalling to fix this? Will I loose my project's? Please help

Sandra, assuming you have added an HTML cell to your page, you should be able to cut and paste code into that cell without issue.
I have experienced this problem, but on each occasion it was caused be Windows. If fact it was because of a windows update in progress. This happened both in Win8.1 & more recently in Windows 10
Is Windows fully up to date, and has the PC been restarted?

I've done everything, updated windows, restarted computer, restarted program turned off antivirus software and still can't edit my new page. The buttons in the edit window that pops up don't work. All I want to do is copy and paste a small line of html to insert my Amazon store on this page...shouldn't be such a big deal. The line to type in gives me triple type on each key stroke I type in the line. When I try to delete the extra keystrokes they are deleted but then when I start typing again it fills in what I already have typed before the next keystroke is placed in the line.
When I first began to design my website I didn't have this problem, but now that I want to add another page or edit existing pages the editor doesn't work in the websiteX5 program. I've tried deleting the new page and starting over but that doesn't help.
If I uninstall the software and reinstall will I have to start all over? Does anyone think that reinstalling websiteX5 will do any good? Can I just try installing the program again without first uninstalling and maybe that will fix the bug of the editor?
Hello Sandra...
WebsiteX5neverdeletesobsoletehtmlfiles on the server, soI recommendthat whenyou knowthat the page iswith all the settings, deletethe entire contentsof the server andre-uploadthe entire siteagain.Anywayobsolete filestake up almost nospace, andare exempted fromthe pagesof the site,so it isnot necessary todelete them. That'sa detail thatIncomediahas not yetsolved.
To pastethe htmlcode, I recommendfirstpastea notepad, because withthattextformatlosessomestrangeformattingif you have, and then from thenotepadyou copyand pasteinWebSite X5.
