When transferring files from Evolution v12 to v13 the menu on some of my websites has gone from being horizontal to vertical and I can't seem to be able to change them back. Has anyone else had this problem and anyone know how to fix it please.

Ross, assuming you are exporting from v12 and importing into v13 you should not be experiencing this issue.  Do you mean the words of the menu items are being moved to the left or right, or do you mean the horizontal menu is being replaced with the "toaster" menu.

If it is the latter, turn off responsive and adjust the space available to your menu, or the menu button width until it all fits on one line, then turn responsive on again.

You may wish to provide a link to your existing site and perhaps a screen capture of the issue in v13 to assist incomedia if the above is not helpful.

Hi Esahc

Thanks for your response, your help is much appreciated. I just turned the responsive section off and the trial looked good just as it should be made the menu height a bit bigger and then turned responsive back on and got the image that is attached. Will have another play around with that section but in the meantime I thought I would reply to say thanks and attach the image as well as give you details of the existing website http://parkvalespecklepark.com/

Cheers Ross

Hi Ross,

with the new v.13 the menu appears as responsive (hamburger menu) even in the desktop layout, if it's large and maybe in two lines.

Anyway, from what I can see on your website, it seems your menu is working normally both in the desktop and in the responsive design.

Please let me know if you need any further help, thank you very much

Ross, if you are still fighting this, try removing separators between pages (step 3, map) . I created one separator between 2 pages (you have may) and suddenly I had a toaster menu even though I apparently had plenty of space for the text menu with no wrapping in desktop mode. Perhaps Incomedia could test this?

Thanks Esahc and Simone G. Much appreciated and yes deleting the separator worked for that site but I have others that do not have separators and still show as a toaster menu. I notice the only ones showing this toaster menu on the desktop page are those that have been transferred from v12, the new ones that I have done with v13 show the menu as I want it to show either horizontal or vertical.

I have not loaded those websites to the server but see the toaster menu when I preview the page. Would it make any difference if they were put online do you think?

I will have to keep trying to see if I can get it fixed as I prefer my websites to go online the way the clients want to see them.

Thanks again Ross

Thanks Esahc, I thought the same about it being still being an issue even when online. I have had a look at the link you sent thanks. I got one of my sites to change the other day so it appears that the width settings on the menu are the things I have to sort out.

Really appreciate your help in this matter.

Ross, if you're lucky V13.0.1.16 may help resolve your issues?

(it did fix a few of mine)
