So of course what is placed in the header and footer of a template will appear on all pages (unless the user/web designer chooses otherwise.) Is there a way to do something similar for a column on the left or right side?
On my current web site (not developed with Evolution x5) I have .shtml pages and use < !--#include virtual="example.html"-- > coding but I see that x5 does not seem to support .shtml pages.
Is there a functionality available in the software or maybe a .php equivalent coding if I have to go "raw coding" to achieve this?

Diacorda, it is quite simple to create a column of links or images linked to other pages in WX5. If every page has to start with this content you can simply right click copy then right click paste (step 3 Map) and in so doing create multiple pages that are initially identical, then rename them. You can also copy individual cells (one at a time) on a page to any other page.

Hello Esahc,
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. However, the solution you propose does not solve the underlying issue.
I will want to add items to the initial list over time and have that updated list thereby appear on all pages without having to manually edit each web page individually. That is the beauty of the "--include" coding I mentioned before, which allows editing of a "master list" which when done updates the list on all pages that reference that list.
Can anyone share with me whether there is a functionality or coding solution available for that?
Hello Diacorda Amosapa,
At the moment it is not possible to have this feature in WebSite X5. I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.
If you find a custom code to get this feature, this code can be added in WebSite X5 with the HTML code object. In this way, if you find scripts that suit your needs, you can easily use them inside the Software. Also if I cannot give support to third party custom code, I can explain you how to add it in WebSite X5.
Many thanks!
