In Site Map Creation, I set the page I wanted to lock. I got the locked page dialogue box. I checked groups/users who can access the page. In Access management, I added my username and passwords for Admin and Users. When I published, it displayed the page unlocked, although it's showing in the Site Map as Locked. I also logged into Admin okay, but when I got to the dashboard screen it was blank. Is there something I forgot or need to do? Thanks.

Hello Jerald
About the locked page : Try to set a logout button on the page. Then you should have no access to it. If you are logged in, the page will show as a normal page. When you are logged out, then you should not be able to access the page without a new login. This will help you to find out, if the page act as a locked page, or not.

Hi,
Are the log-in and log-out button suppose to work with the reserve/lock page set-up? I tried it and it doesn't seem to work.
The way I designed the page is to act as a Reserved Wholesale Ordering Page, which requires a username and password to access. In the left Cell, I added an Image object with an image of the product, in the right cell, I added a text object, with a combination of text and HTML, which comes from Paypal, with a drop-down price menu.
When I'm in Access Management, I click preview, and I can see the reserve page, asking for the username and password. But when I publish live, I don't see it at all, all I see is a regular page, unlocked, with full access.
Any help to solve this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello jerald
maybe you have forgotten to set the poage as a locked page.
You could try to make a new page.
In 3- MAP you mark the page as a locked page.
See the icon with the padlock.
Then on this page you put the object login/logout.
AND on the access Management you specify who will have access to the page.
This should function.
Hope you have it to work.
Kind regrads

I have attached a screenshot. I have the page hidden and locked.

This will make it easier to view.
Hello Jerald
I can't guess why it should not function.
Could you try to make a new page - mark it as locked, and then make access to this page only for yourself.
Just make a text object on the page " This page is for testing"
Then publist the page and post ( here ) a link.
Then I could try to access the page. I should not be able to.
Kind regards

Thanks, John. I will keep that in mind. Hopefully, there's a solution I'm not seeing. If I find it, I'll post it. Thanks again.

Hi John,
I solved the problem. Instead of the .html extension, I normally use to get to my hidden pages, I used the .php extension and it worked. The Reserve Access Page came up with the username and password fields. So, evidently, when you lock a hidden page, you have to use the .php extension to get to the reserve page.
Thanks again John.
Hello Jerald
Good you had it to function.
The X5 software should normally set the page to php automatically, when you "change" it to a locked page.
Kind regards

Hello Jerald,
Extra tip to look out foor:
Take care that the locked page is not available on the server with html extension, if so remove it.
X5 does not remove previously made files on your webserver, so check if you connect to the webserver the filenames of the locked page and remove (button on top) the html page.
Goodluck.
