Activation Error 331

I've bought the upgrade to v9. During installation, on trying to activate I'm getting activation error 331 (data not correct, please verify Username and Password). I believe that I'm using the same email address that I used for v8. I've changed the password here on the answers site but continue to get the same error.
I do not have version 8 installed on this PC - could that be the problem, that a current installation of v8 is required in order to activate v9? If not, how can we resolve this?

No, you don't have to install v8 in the same PC to install v9 as upgrade.
I see from your registration that you was able to register on 11 Sept at 12.24, please open this post if not.

I was able to register after reducing the length of my password (from 16 to 9 characters). Is a limitation on password length built into the activation process?
Reducing my password length from 13 characters to 8 characters allowed activation to procedd, must be a bug in their system that restricts super secure passwords.

Yes I received a message from Incomedia saying "We will update the system as soon as possible to solve this problem."
Im receiving an activation error 404 while trying to activate the newly purchased website x5 v9 over the net. It comes up with the message: It was not possible to connect to the internet or the Incomedia server. My internet is on by the way. Please help.
Could it be a temporary problem on the server. We didn't have any log about that... please try now and let me know.
still having the same problem even though disabled antivirus and firewall. Internet is working fine but everytime it comes up with same Activation Error 404 message.

I get the same 404 error when i want to activate. What is strange too, i actived 2 times already. Every now and then the activation process pops up again, why is that? So now i can't work on my website because X5 activation can't find the server. What to do??
