Adding text to photographs

Is there a way to add text to a picture, for example I wish to add a picture of food and put the word 'Menu' on top of the image so that I can hyperlink it to downloadable menu's.

Hello Steve,
If you use the galery you can set a link to the picture and add text. I would suggest to disable the control bar.
But I like the animated Image very much, but it comes with a price.
