I just downloaded the program and am having a heck of a time getting started.  I was able to get a template open and make a few changes.  What I am wanting to do is make a login page.  Looking at the guide it says to open Template Customization.  Well, just where the heck is that?  I have been looking all over for some type of a "New User" guide starting with step 1., etc, but as of yet have not across anything.

I am working on a Pet Spa website.  So I want to be able to have users login to their account, maintain a list of their pets (with pictures), schedule an appointment, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for the "newbie" questions.

Hello.

"What I am wanting to do is make a login page. Looking at the guide it says to open Template Customization. Well, just where the heck is that?" - I'm not sure, but maybe the instructions meant "2 Template - Template Structure". But to create the login page is not necessary. You can look at this documentation.

"I have been looking all over for some type of a "New User" guide starting with step 1., etc, but as of yet have not across anything." - especially for "newbie" users, I prepared these video tutorials. Lesson 14, 22 - just about registration.

In light of full disclosure can you please make it known that people will be taken to a video that will require them to pay in order to watch as a measure of good faith, before supplying the link each time you suggest it? People may be under the impression that they are being linked to a free youtube video for all they know. Just saying man, and thanks in adavnce.

Kind Regards

Hello Todd

Under page settings you set the page to locked, and then you specify who should have access to the page.

For having users to edit information on the page you have to use the :

Dynamic content object

For the booking you could use the free LuxCal calendar. It is easy to integrate in X5.

You can see an example of the calndar used for day care of dogs here : http://www.teresadogdaycare.co.uk/

It could as well have been times for wellness for the dog.

On my own testpage you can see the calendar in matrix-view : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/kalb3473/?cP=9

And in month-view : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/kalb3473/?cP=2

Go to december 2018 to see some data.

If you want more information of the calendar you can use the contact page here : http://calendarforum.dk/contact.html

You can have users book themselve. The calendar can be set up. so that all can see the booking, but only with the title visible for all. If documents or images is attached to the booking, then it will only be visible for the owner of the event/booking and the admin.

You have users and user-groups.

up to 4 subcategories for a category.

You can set up rules for booking - fixed times (duration ) for a category. Is bookings allowed to overlap when belonging to same category. Preparing time needed between two bookings in the same category - and much much  more.

Search information here : http://calendarforum.dk or here http://www.luxsoft.eu/
