Losing Cell backgrounds - Pro 2019  en

This is becoming very irritating. Everytime I add a new page and run the export sequence it loses the cell background images. The image isnt on the website. The only way I can solve this is to go into every cell reclick the file location for the background and then re-export and then it comes back. This effectively means every update turns into a 5/6 hour exercise. Please help!!

Francos, please provide a screen shot of how you are attaching the background image, are you doing this through cell style or in row/formats? Can you also please clarify if the image is lost when you export to website, export to disk or simply export project (& then when you import the iwzip the image is lost)?

Hi I was adding the image under row formats as a background. It keeps losign when you use the export facility to update the website. I have overcome it however by just using a colour and forgoing this option,

Francos, since you are using 2019 pro you have the option of optimising the images on export (export project to create an iwzip file). If you wish to retry the image, export project with image and select optimise, then import the iwzip (this will not overwrite the project) and let us know if this fixes the problem ??

This is becoming a huge problem as I have someone spending an hour a day checking each page on my website to see if the graphics are there or if they have disappeared. So I want to understand properly. When I finish with a change I save, then export the project then import the project, then upload the files to the internet?

Francos, my suggestion was one off. Export with optimise just once, import and see if the problem is resolved. Optimise should manage oversize images, exporting and importing should discard any anomolies.

Assuming that before you upload to the internet all background images are in place (ctrl+preview will force a full refresh of the site), then export to the web, if there have been multiple changes I would recommend a full upload rather than new and changed files. I cannot imagine that any images will go missing (although ctrl+f5 should be used on any browser that has previously been used to access the site to flush the browser cache).

In summary

Export with optimise just once.

Import project (is it more stable?)

CTRL+Preview to check images still there in preview after changes

FULL upload

CTRL+F5 after opened online in browser.
