I want to modify our website's menu (size, text size/font, background colour etc). Other help entries indicate using the "Map Creation Window". Where do I find it?

Hello Wes,

You will find the Menu Object in Step 2 Template > Template Content

Drag the Menu icon onto the work area (if it is not already present), then if you double-click on the newly placed Menu icon you will find that you enter the Menu Properties where you can adjust the size, font, style, etc.

You can also insert the Menu on any page in Step 4 Page Creation.  See the help file for full details:

https://help.websitex5.com/en/v2019.1/pro/index.html?ogg_menu.htm

In the newer versions of WebSite X5 the Menu is now an Object, and works differently from older versions where it could be hidden (for example) in Step 3 Sitemap Creation.

Kind regards,

Paul

I gotv to this page (see attached) but can't seem to make the changes I was which are:

1) Change the colour of the menu background to black from orange.

2) Change the menu text size.

3) If possible, allow a second row of menu items to allow for more tabs.

Any ideas? Wes

You need to double-click on the menu which will open the Menu Object Properties, as shown in this image:

You can then fully customise the menu to your liking.

Still having trouble finding the screen you show above. If you look at my attachment below, I thought you meant to double-click on the blue-and-white button labeled, but click, double-clicking or right-click all do nothing. Am I in the wrong place entirely?

Wes

That's the correct icon that you refer to, Wes, but the icon is only clickable after you have dragged it onto the header area in your workspace! smile

See my original response at the start of the thread...

As you want to modify your existing menu you should simply double-click the orange area of your header in Template Content.
