I am looking for a good program to design a website....your program looks good but before i dig deeper into the program....can i create a website where people who buy patterns from me that after purchase can download them from a trusted server.....I have minimal knowledge to create pages and rely on sending the patterns myself after purchase and want it all automated with a new website.....is this possible with x5 evolution??

Yes it can be done with any website building program.....
I suggest looking into PHPCART.NET first to give you some idea of what these and other carts have to offer. This you can purchase for a one off fee I think? Others like E-Junkie.com are monthly payments. But.......
These are automated payment gateways and once set up properly you just check your bank balance at the end of the month. These are better suited to digital downloads rather than tangible goods. But yes these could be integrated into any builder.
I'm telling you now that if you have never done this sort of work before prepare yourself for a massive learning curve and possibly months of trying to understand HTML, Servers etc.... This how website designers earn their wages!!
