I am in the process of moving my website from Serif Webplus to Webplus. Is there a way in which a) I can insert a one line caption to go with an image other than using a text box
b) I can insert a description for an image with a text box situated within/over the image, other than using the gallery facility and inserting one image with a description?
I have been using Serif Webplus x6 and it is quite straighforward to do both these actions but since moving to Webplus I cannot find a simple way of adding information on an image.

I assume you mean WebSite X5?
Yes, there is a way to do what you describe.
Place your mouse over the Image Object in Step 4 Page Creation and right-click... in the context menu which opens select 'Object Style > Edit' as shown below:
In the Object Properties screen go to the 'Text' tab... you can enter a title or caption using the settings shown below:
Likewise, you can enter a description using the 'Description Text' setting in the 'Text and Image' drop-down field.
