HI
Is there anything written about sending mailing lists?
Example: using the automatic registration to create a list on screen (admin only with sign in)
From the database where they have entered yes to receiving mail and actually sending a mail.
Or do you have to create a list to be used by another piece of software.
(I have looked in the community but nothing shows up)
Regards
Kevin

Hi , I think you need another software.with Website you can't do
Use an group in your mail program, manualy add the clients there.

Thanks both for response.
I had a feeling it was not possible directly in X5.
I will have to study how to export a database so it can be used by my email client (Thunderbird) or even directly in my Text/Doc writing software (Softmaker Office).
Follow up question:
Is it possible to export the dB from within X5, an add on? (Probably not0

Hi Kevin,
I may have not understood your question but couldn't you use Mailchimp? https://mailchimp.com/help/add-a-signup-form-to-your-website/
All the best,
Robert.

Hi Robert
thanks for the suggestion. Never used it before, but will give a good look tomorrow when I'm more awake.
I was trying to get it all X5 based with no added costs. It's only a hobby site about my local village. It's being done as a hobby by me to hopefully keep my old brain cells working.
Thanks again.

Try posting this as an IDEA - maybe it will be noted for some future update, because this feature is very much needed...

Hi, thanks,
I wonder if there is a way of actually changing the 'status' to an idea or suggestion. Maybe a moderator has to do that.
If so could I ask a moderator to please make this into a suggestion.
Thanks
Kevin
I set it as an IDEA post.
THX Kevin.

Thanks Andre,
I assume you think it has some merit as an idea??

You never know.
Incomedia get's a lot of Idea's, they are all taken in condideration.
It is not bad to get of list for mailing.
But as already sugested, you can do this yourself with a little workaround, export the users, select the mail adresses and add them in a group with your own mail account.
Then send from there to all users, the GDPR is also something to think about, so it would be nice in Incomedia can create a question wheter you actualy wan't mail to be send that would also be helpfull.
Check GDPR appliance on the internet before starting mailings to groups.
