REloading Evo latest on Windows 10
Autor: Adrian WoodI have been using WEBX5 Evolution and have now changed computer from W 7 to 10.
I saved the application and all the files and transfered these to my new PC
I opened the files and clicked on Application to start.
I found the licence key for the software and put that into the box together with the email address.
I started the process then by clicking next and the installation stuck at the point where it says that the main Start is about to open. Nothing happened for 30 minutes
I moved the files to an internal hard drive and repeated. the same thing happened - no progress.
I then thought that I might be able to download the latest Evo from the website which I did and entered the licence key on my account for the software.
I thought that this would work but the process sticks at the same point.
I notice from my account that my licence key is 'not active'. I dont know what that means. I pruchased the software only last year and I have been receiving updates as usual. I have been with Incomdedia now for the best part of 20 years and this is the only time I have ever had a problem like this.
I am hoping that there is a glimmer of hope from somebody.

I have marked this thread for Incomedia's attention.
You seem to have two problems, the program will not open your project and it appears not to be activated.
Please ONLY work locally (USB/network/cloud drives cause issues). Please temporarily remove or disable any malware/antivirus/firewall/vpn 3rd party apps.
If this does not clear the problem, please mark your first post as private (then only Incomedia will see it) and provide any details you believe may be required for them to resolve these issues.
(if you had not mentioned that your license had not been activated I would have suggested a full .net install as I had this issue with my own WX5 transfer to Win 10 https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/pt/post/222206)
Hello Adrian
The suggestion given by Esahc are surely helpful. Please try those out first and let me know if anything changes at all. If it doesn't, please attach here the exact screen you're seeing when the process gets stuck.
About the "not active" matter instead, I'd like to clarify.
If you do not own the latest version of the software available (currently the v2019.3.14), your license will be marked as "non-active". This means that at the moment, you're not eligible to receive the latest available updates for your software.
If you wish to extend your license duration, you will see that the most recent license will then be marked as "active.
Please keep me updated on the situation after following Esahc's directions
Thank you
Stefano
