Product cards style customization
Autor: Václav K.Hello,
I like how products are displayed on this template (look at the three truffles on the top of the page as well as on the tarts bellow):
https://market.websitex5.com/en/templates/live-preview/320c3dbb-3c87-41b8-b9b5-37b64fcd38d
I'd like my products to be displayed in the same way. Unluckily, I can't find a way how to do it using the Product card style, as described here:
https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44001426598?utm_source=software&utm_medium=Evo_2019.3
I want to reach the style as described above. I.e. Photo, under it the product name, under it a short description and the price. I'd like more product details to be reachable after clicking the product name.
Has this product card style been reached only using the Product card styles in Website X5 evo?
Or is it a feature of the Pro version?
Or was the style created manually for each product? In this case it's unusable as it would be too much work having many products, leaving alone future changes in offered product list.
Is it possible to try the Pro version before purchasing it?
I think it would be worth buying the Pro version just for this feature as the standard Product styles seem to be a little bit outdated. Actually checking my old site created in v12 shows nothing has changed since then.
Thank you for your assistance!
Vaclav
Here is one answer:

But i don't think you need a pro version. small setup:
I don't have much time, here is what i think they did;
in step1 in shop in advanced tab you can create a link for every product. use in this link the option ADD TO SHOP (way below) You can use this also on the text field below truffel so if you press the text you will go to the shop.
In step4 in the shop object remove in the setup for ALL Elements (left below pulldown) the visible tag's . Set the enable link over the image option to on.
That's it, the rest is finetuning of picture and cart size ....
Let me know if you need more help.
Hi!
To create this effect we have simply used the Text Object ti report the information and then set a link on the title, so the customer can add the described product to the cart. For the images, we simply used Image Objects:
Please let me know if I can be of further help. Kind regards.

Hi Andre,
Thank you for valuable tips! They work well, not completely though. For example, I can't align the price tag under the pruduct picture right in the middle. And there are many more examples.
I have an idea: instead of clumsy product list display setup in step 4 there should be a similar interface to that of a web page. That means objects relevant to the product (pictures, description, price...) should be selectable and possible to be placed next/under another objects together with proper aligning possibilities.
I'll give the Pro version demo a try, may be there are better options.
Thank you!

Hi Elisa,
Thank you, I read your comment after writing my reply to Andre at 9:44:22. :)
That's what I thought it was the way the truffle and tarts display had been created. Unfortunately it's not a good one. Too manual. Imagine you have 20 products on a page and want to change their order. Or delete one, then you have to and move every other if the products order has to be kept.
Or price changes practically unmanageable...
Best regards
Vaclav
Hello Václav K.
No you are correct not all is possible, and setting prices in a text object is also not handy.
I also considered that x5 made a seperate store for every item and i knew this was not a solution for you, because you said so in the first post.
So this way you will get close, but it will be a hassle especially for a lot of products to do it seperatly.
Else you can stick to the standard and use at least a few tips to get this more to your liking.
i am sure you will work something out that works for you, it might be somewhere in between the standard and the seperate store's still there is enough to play around with to make it acceptable.
Goodluck!
Bella così la presentazione dei prodotti per pochi prodotti ma la gestione è laboriosa e difficile se si tratta di tantissimi prodotti.
