I have received an email from a hacker, trying to extort, saying he/she knows a password I have used on the internet (and supplies the password). The message is that unless I pay a ransom my information, sites I have visited, secret video, etc. will be made public.
Its all crap of course. BUT, the password is the one I use to log in here to this usergroup. I only use that password here.
So unless I have a hidden keylogger on my system, which I doubt, the password has leaked from incomedia somewhere.
I recommend everyone take precautions.

Thanks for the heads up Adrian!
If we get any other such reports I will be duly concerned. I had a customer the other day who found their email account compromised and someone was using it to mass mailout spam. I could find no evidence of anything untoward on the PC, but I became aware that earlier in the day they had participated in a group virtual meeting.
Troubling times indeed.
Hello Adrian,
Take care... By my pro cybersecurity knowledge and experience, may be is not true and the hacker tries to get some money only. Many people receive same emails and nothing happens.
It's probably wrong.
Don't pay. it's the main rule... NEVER
Because if you paid you will be a good target for other things on the same way.... And to paid is not the solution.
It's the same rule about rensomware. never pay !
I suggest to scan your comptuer with a Anti Virus + Anti malware to chek it.
@Esahc:
in uour case, could be an email address compromised (it's different) or often too an email spoofing to use your email address by sample to send a mass emailing...
In anycase, take care guys
Enjoy

wsx5, I agree, but in this case I had to shut the mail server down and change credentials. They were actually using the SMTP server. :-(
to do an email spoofing no need to have credentials... just your address is enough.
Axel is right!
Cheers!
Just seen there is a WSX5 fresh update - probably bug fixing...
Thanks Sinisa. little bit my job
Take care with v2020....
@ Axel
Your inputs in the update, right?
Then I'm sure it's something good - cheers man!
@Sinisa,
Houlala !!!
Hello Adrian,
thanks for this info. Because you're talking about the login and password you use to access Help Center, I'll send an alert to my colleagues so they could better check.
