I downloaded the latest 2020.1.5 Pro DEMO version. I wanted to open several projects created in 2019.3.16 Pro version, but I always get the message: "this project cannot be opened, because it was created in newer(???) version... Since when is the v.2019.3.16 newer, than 2020.1.5?!?
HOW can I then try the functionality of the new version??? I´m sorry, but I do not spend any more money, until I see, the new version can load .csv files as I wish...

I don't know why you can't open your own project but the demo has limitations.
I would create just a few products and test then, this if faster as well. But to my best knowladge there have been no changes in the import / export .csv files.
Yes, there is no import in the Demo version, only export... probably because the Demo has a 10 page limit.

Thank you for your answers. But I do not like to buy a cat in a sack. I tried to import csv fite, but the international letters are still illegible, and the "drag and drop" of more objects is not working, though, they promised to input this option at least a year ago... :-(
Hello Gabriel,
Sorry to hear that, Incomedia get's a lot of questions and they try to handle as much as possible.
I don't know why your previous request has not been granted.
I will set this post for them to react and hopefully they will take another look at it, it good also be that it's not possible or that there are other limitations. Again i don't know. But it would be nice to get at least some information about it so
let's wait if Incomedia can shad some light here.
Thanks for the post Gabriel,
Hello Gabriel,
I can see that you opened a post (27/07/2018) about fonts and it was solved. Please let me know, so I can understand better what you are referring.
I confirm what Andre said, you can test what you're searching usind the demo version. The CSV export is the same for one product or 1000 products.
If you want you can send me your CSV file so I can better understand.
Thanks

Hello, Steve,
Thank you for your answer and I appreciate your will for helping me, but I think, it almost impossible. Now, after x tries and combinations, I can surely say, that the person, who created the csv format was VERY narrow-minded, because did not incalculate the international characters...
If you do not mind, I would like to send you three files to show you my problem.
Hi Gabriel,
yes, let me have the CSV file, as I suggested so I can check. I supposed that W5 doesn't care about characters.
Just to be sure (maybe you already know that): a CSV file is a simple text file, so it is important to save it using UTF8 encoding otherwise the characters will be modified.
PS: you closed this topic?

Hello, Steve,
thank you for your quick answer. Now I see, that I forgot to attach the files... :-/
The "CENY3" is something I would like to import, the "bbb" is just a try to illustrate, how it "works" in X5. I also created another file "bbb2", checked at an interesting page: "https://csvlint.io/", and it was OK.
Hi Gabriel, the solution was the one I already suggested you. You have to save your CSV file as UTF8, not ANSI. UTF8 is the only way to save all characters. Please see the picture here
I just save your csv as UTF8 and import in W5 and it worked.
Hope this helps.

Hello, Steve,
a litthe light of hope has been lit. ;-) I did not manage to make it neither in Excel, nor in OpenOffice, only in the evening I downloaded and installed the LibreOffice. I was seeking in settings and changed everything to UTF-8. And then... See the result. Now it remains to be translated into Czech and Hungarian languages... :-(
Again, I thank you for your help very much and wish you a nice, csv amateurs-less day. :-)
