Sometimes, it was chosen by design to not allow the editing of every single aspect to avoid giving too many options to a user which might end up confused by too many customization options. Also, it helps those users which aren't experts in design with keeping a certain uniformity within their website's style, avoiding a mixture of too many different customization choices.

For the moment, this is the reason why this is so. However, it is understandable why some users might want to be able to customize more than currently allowed. 

For this reason, I've turned your topic into an Idea, so that it might remain highlighted here

I agree with your logic - but the "average" user will not have the need to customize the part of her/his site which professional webmasters will. 

I'm talking about the PRO version (made for the professionals?).
