When defining Product settings there is a tab called Properties which seems to allow the user to add Product properties and define a unique value (monatary?) for each and the properties are Category specific as shown in the attached graphic.  What I am wondering is where does this information get presented in the shopping cart and what can "properties" be used for? 

Ultimately I am trying to to a Online Ordering system for a restaurant and some items on the menu have both a size (I am using Options for that) and several add ons which have their own value and are additive (not exclusive like Options) and possibly I can use this feature but I can not find any information on it.
