Hi Stefano,
1. After importing my old website to the new version, some of the links do not work. I have ttried to remove and reinstall the button for turning pages -making surer that the link is directed to the next page. But it still does not work. My website is about 50 pages long, and it only pages 31 and 34 that does not work.
2. Is it not possible for my side panel, which is the menu (showing the pages) for the entire site, to be visible at all times?. As it is now it hides, and only by pressing the Menu button, will it show.
Thanking you in advance,
Boris

Hello Boris
The problem with the side-panel is that it can only show one level.
You have made it sticky which means that it stops when it reaches the top.
I suggest you group your menus. Then have the upper level ( with maybe 10 sublevels) in the sidebar.
You can then have it be sticky.
You could then on each page make a page-menu that shows all pages for that sub-level.On a page you are able to specify the level for the menu.
If you are familiar with code (html, css and so) you can make it like I have done here:
https://www.bramminginfo.dk/bramny03/index.html
If you choose:
Historie" then "Pionertiden" and then "Møllen"
You will see that the menu ( placed in the side-bar) changes level.
This is made by putting more menus in the side-bar. Then all menus are made to not be displayed.
On a page I display the menu that is made for the level for that page.
If you are not familiar with coding, I suggest You make a left-menu with the top-levels and then on each page in the top you place a page-menu.
This test-page is in Danish, but maybe you understand the text - I see also some Danish text on your site.
@ Stefano - feel free to join this thread. I was not sure if the user only wanted a response from you, but you can just remove my comments if the user does not want them.
Hello Boris
About those pages, can you share the link of any of these pages here? And also let me know what link to test I will do so for you
Please keep me posted here so that I might verify this further
Thank you

Hello Stefano,
Thank you for your responce.
I think I'm ready to give up. At my age (87) nothing comes easy, and as it turns up, I don't understand most things about websites etc. I'm proud of what I did about 8 years ago publishing my father's life history using your program X5 Evolution v11. But trying to convert that to X5 evo is beyond me. It did export the old version into the new version, and most of it works, except 4 pages where the link to the next page will not work, and for the same pages the sidepanel will not show when pressing the hamburger button. In addition to that mp4 files will not play.
You were kind enough to try and help me, asking me to share the link of those pages. However, I don't even know how to do that -- and the new website has not been uploaded yet.
I view of all that, I have decided to give up with the new version and just mark it down as a bad experience, and hoping that my old version can still be seen on the internet.
Thank you for your patience, Stefano.

Hello Stepano,
I have decided to give this one more try in view of the large amount of time I have spent on this already.
To recap; I bought the upgrade as you notified me that my old version was obsolete. I have tranferred al the pages (about 52) to the upgrade version and have found the the links to the next page does not work on pages 27,31,34, 37,38. For the same pages the Hamburger button does not appear when scrolling down the page. It works on all the other pages.
You had asked me to share those pages with you, but I must confess that I do not know how to share. Could you please give me a detailed description on how to share pages with you. I have not uploaded the new version because of the defective pages, so the old verson is still up.
I would appreciate it very much, as I have spent so much time on building this website, and I would hate to se it be wasted.
Best wishes,
Boris Borgstrom

Hello Boris
I've turned the topic private as to be able to share all the required information here freely.
First of all, does this issue appear in the software's preview too? if yes, I will explain to you how to send me the project for testing
Go to Step 5 and select the bottom option "Export project". It will create an IWZIP file containing the entire website. You need to share that with me via the wetransfer service
You can use the service https://wetransfer.com/. Select the link generation and paste it here, so I can download the file. If the file is too big, please don't include the folders preview and backup files when you create your IWZIP file with WebSite X5.
keep me posted here
Thank you

Hello Boris
I've verified the project
It seems like it might be caused for some reason by the Audio/Video Objects present on that specific page. Take page 37 for example and try to remove all Audio objects. Does it work then? If it does, try reinserting them. Does it keep on working?
Try this out for me and keep me posted here
Thank you

Hello Stefano
I did as you suggested, and it did fix the problem if I reinstalled some of the audio files on each page. On pages 27,31 and 34 I had to leave out 2 audio files on each page, and on opages 37,38 only one audio needed to be removed.
The audio files I removed, I installed on entirely different pages, and they work there.
So that leaves the question: why did these audio files cause problems on certain pages, but not on others?
Obviously it would be nice to know the cause of the problem, so that I can avoid future problem .
In any event, I'm extremely grateful to you for solving the problem.
The video file I placed on page 36, gives this message: This video can't be played in this browser. Try using a different browser. I have tried Google Chrome, Firefox and Brave, and it does not make any diference. Any suggestions? It works fine on my old version of Website 5 V11
Warm regards,
Boris
Hello Boris
Unfortunately, in order to understand the exact reason for this project, it would take some time to have the project verified by the developers directly
It is very probable however that this comes from some older codes used in the old versions of the software which caused issues during the conversion
In case something like this should pop up again, we'll have it checked
Thank you for your feedback
