Hello,
I have a complicted problem with the search engine. My site exceeded the X5 limit of 1000 pages and therefore i had to split my site into 2 seperate projects by making a subfolder, so that i could continue making more pages (another maximum of 1000). Now i have my site divided and have 2 index files. 1 in rootfolder and the other in subfolder crosslinking the 2 projects to eachother with url pointing. Today i implemented a search engine in project 1 and you guess it, it only searches for results in that particular project. How can i make my searchengine search for results in the entire site 8both projects)? Will i have to modify the php imsearch file? I hope you get my point.

Insert the search in Project 2 besides Project 1 because which ever they visit they will search in that particular directory while they are surfing that Project.....

I have done that but it's far from ideal. Imagine someone entering my homepage (index.html from project 1). This project deals with the years 1954 until 1980. If the visitor enter the name of a soccer player from the 90's in the search field (my site is about soccer), the player will not show up. Ony if he browses my site and eventually lands in project 2 (post 1980) and searches there, the player will show up. You'll understand that i don't want this. I want a search engine that covers both projects. How can i do that? Also i wish to point the home button in project 2 to the index file of project 1, seems impossible. I use V8 by the way. Thanks for helping.
Best, Thijs
Having two projects like this you'll have to face facts and split your searches...
Also a website that orientates towards dates you must have given a thought about this kinda structure before you started?
You must direct your vistors to the appropriate website (Or years) before they can conduct a search for that era don't cha think?
And yes you can replace the hompage menu button with your own!!
A good example of this is inside my Cyber Cafe below.....

My site is here http://www..azhistorie.nl You'll see that i divided the soccer history of my beloved club in several periods to keep things simple. So i did think about it beforehand. Just a pity for the search engine. I can ultimately use a google search engine but it's not ideal. Let me see on your site how to point the HOME button of a project to an external URL
