If we decide to move from one web host place to another:
1. Any instructions we can read?
2. Is this a complex/complicated process?
3. How much risk of losing stored data, such as customer's purchasing history, registered users' file?
Thanks,

Hello.
1. You need to change this data.
Also, don't forget to check the minimum system requirements.
You also need to redirect your domain. How to do this you can check with your new hosting.
2. It depends on your skills and previous experience. But given the availability of technical support for hosting, it shouldn't be very difficult.
3. Minimal risk. But if you are worried, find an experienced person in this matter.

My main concern is all that existing data ie: user info, purchase history, blog contents.
1. Where are all that existing data stored/kept? In the WX5 or in the hosting provider?
2. How then do I take those stored date from the old host and move it to the new host?
Thanks much
You copy your web data down to your PC. (eventual download via FileZilla)
Then you upload to the new site.
You also have to change the source (new web location) in your X5 project.
You prepare like this:
Download all your data to your PC/client.
Change the sorurce in your project.
When your domain has been redirected to the new server then you upload the site from the "copy".
And then you can start uploading from X5.
Doing it this way you should have all data intact.
BUT - be sure that thr php version and so is the same or is OK.
And - if youn have a database you should also make a save and restore from the old to the new. A database may be tricky.
If you have no database data then it should be rather easy to move from one host to another.
source should be read as - target.
It is the location - but it should be the same as the domain is being redirected. So in fact you should change nothing in your project.
And again - maybe you have to change. It depends on the new site how it want the path to be specified.
I also suggest you to make a kind of lock on your e-store while this is going on.
You need to know that nothing happens in your store from the moment you make a backup of your database and till you have restored it on the new location.

Thank you very much John S for the detailed instructions. A big learning curve for me but a specific guide for me to follow.
Again Thank you!
