Linking order management within th eproduct so its not another selection

When creating a product different products may need different order management.
It would be useful if order management was not a choice for the end user, but that it could be selected within the product fields so that the software automatically selects the correct order management for the product.
I can't see this is currently practicable and relies on th eend user selecting the correct choice which should really be selected by the product chosen automatically.
