Desactivate the buying process in the e-shop  en

Hello All,

Is it possible to present a product catalogue and deactivate the buying process?
This is for a real estate agency which only presents products...

I precise that:

1-  after a test, the portfolio object is not sufficient to present the different search options (found in the properties in the product sheet: locality, rooms, differents options...).

2- I remove the button Add in the cart search and the link on the products sent now to a page (not to the product search)

******

Possible additional option:

If I keep the "Add" button, I would like to replace it with an image like "Favourite" so that the visitor keeps his favourite choices... but without going to payment of course! How do I stop the purchase process in this case?

Thank you by advance.

Sincerely,

Danielle

I have some suggestions:

Use the blog for that. You can use categories and tags.

Or - something like this: https://www.phpjabbers.com/property-listing-script/#sectionDemo

Or - Use a database tool to create a database where a client can maintain the data. You can make whatever fields you want, and amke dropdowns and so. Going from table to detail can be made in different ways. This is the most flexible. I think. I have a (not very good) example here: http://eksempelsite.dk/biler/Biler_view.php

You can see another example here: https://bigprof.com/appgini/demo

If you want the properties to be shown on a map and don't want to have a Google API key, then there is the free map solution based on OpenStreetMap - PinDown. https://pindown.eu/

Hello John,

Thank you for your messages.

Your first suggestion is too complicated for me, sorry. For the moment, the shop allows me to filter the options, I found how to manage it --> my explanation point 2. and it's enough.

I can't imagine to use a blog to replace the e-shop. Plus, I'm not an expert in database...

But my customer wants a "favourites" button as I explained, like what we get with the basket... but without the following steps (payment).

I need some help only for this additionnal option; if the solution is too complicated, it will not be able to respond to the contract.

(Nota: I already use Open Street Map in many projects smile)

Sincerely,

Danielle

Hello. Maybe you need something like this template made entirely with Website X5 (it is a B&B search template by price, type and you can add many other features for the search in a simple way through the functions of the e-commerce cart):

Maybe it would be possible to get closer to this idea tabled a few months ago?

Thanks to you JiPé for your clever suggestion because it is impossible now to put a "+1" for the Axel's idea you mentionnel (closed).

For the developpers, some details more:

This improvement in the catalogue could therefore either :
- just allow a list of favourites (with the stop of the purchase step for products that are not for sale!)
- allow an option in the catalogue in addition to the purchase process

Thank you the team ;-)
