need to develop a multi-colored menu. My client suggests a similar pattern as the site below. Please see this link (I tried to paste the pictures but could not).
* Note 1: to be multicolored. Each menu item has a color.
* Note 2: need to open the menus horizontally. each sub-item menu is the color of the main menu.
I need help urgently.

I'll answer to each question as clearly as possible:
1 - You can not add a different color automatically to each menu item. What you can do in order to achieve the same result is hide the main menu and create a menu in the header section. You will then be able to create your own buttons, add text in them and add a link to each one in order to go to your page, just like your main menu would do.
2 - If you create the menu as described above you will not be able to have the drop down menu. If you wish to have a horizontal drop down menu, you have to add personal HTML code in order to achieve the result.

I've done a very simple test with multi-colored horizontal menu with only one picture and all buttons on the same line, to a french user :

but effectively the submenu will stay in only one color...
