Since my HTML code problem has been resolved, I have another dilemma.  I can’t resize the object cells.  I try to drag one to make the cell smaller using the handles in the cormer, top and bottom and nothing happens.  What am I doing wrong?  I can't publish or continue using the software ite until I can rectify this problem.  This seems to be a headache from many users.

The objects probably cannot be made smaller than 1 grid. But you can make more grid cells in the horizontal and vertical directions, and then distribute the other objects to more grid cells.

Possibly show with a screenshot what should be done.

That did not work for me.  Is thare a simple way to drag the cells to the size needed.  It seems that should be the way.  Rezizing the photo will make it look bad.

WebSite X5 works with the grid method. Maybe give a link or post a screenshot so that we can take a look at the problem and find a solution.

Ok, George. See if I can explain how this works.

Your image "should" be the same height that you want it to be in your webpage or close to it. You can use ms paint to resize it. See the graphic at the bottom.

The size of the image will depend on it's height and how many cells that the image covers. See the graphics below. You cannot control the size of a cell directly. Only by how many cells the object/image covers and it's height.

In the first two the image covers 2 cells. In the second two the image covers 4 cells.

This is what's called a "layout grid" as Daniel stated. Reading the related sections in the user guide will help. Also, you can google "layout grid", "flex grid" and or "bootstrap" for more info.

Otherwise, if you want complete control of your objects/text/images you would need to use a different program. One that acts like the footer and header of X5. With that type of program you have to place, and size every object at every breakpoint on every page!

Kind Regards

Also, as Daniel stated you can merge cells between rows in the vertical direction if it's tall portrait type picture.

Good Day!

Great!  I now have a mental picture how this works.  It was the "handles" on the cells that was confusing me.  Thanks for your help and have a great weekend.
