Products not stored in database on live server

Products are not stored again in database on live server after export. We need this in order to work with another software.
Please any suggestion, I saw an article that states that we can export from website x5 to csv file but we actually want the product in the database on live server as it was before.

What software did you use?
You write that the software stored the product-data in a database. If it was a X5 version I would like to know the version number that used a database for the product information.
Was it a beta-version?
You have apparently seen something that many users have asked for since long time ago.

It was not a beta version but I can't remember the version again.
Do mean that the feature was not available earlier?

Definitely not. No version of WebSite X5 ever saved products inside the Database, only order details or available quantities. All product data was always stored in a file on the server.

Hi Olufunso,
I m not an expert, but maybe one question, I know it could sound weird, but is your database directory the same as working directory? For example see pictures. I have 2 different directories, maybe you have the same and then one is overwriting the other, by saving project. There will be actually 2 different projects that might be directed to one server. Maybe I m wrong, don t know.
