Unwanted text in outgoing email subject field

This is not about the Contact form .....
I have a couple of sites with simple email links in the text. I've noticed that when I click on them my email programme (Outlook) opens with
&body=
in the Subject field.
This is only happening in sites created with WX5 so it doesn't appear to be an Outlook issue.
Any ideas?

Hello Donald,
I am sorry about the inconvenience.
How were these links set up, and could you provide an example of website with this behavior, if any is currently online?
Thank you.

Hi Eric
Try https://mainlineroadmarking.co.uk
You will find the link at the bottom of each page. These are not footers, they are just text boxes.
See the picture for the setup.
Thanks
Donald

This is odd.
I installed Thunderbird Mail to check - and the issue isn't happening there.
In Outlook it is still not happening in non-WX5 web sites so maybe it has to do with the way Outlook (2021, the last standalone version) and WX5 interact?
I've also found that if I set up the link with specific text in the subject field, that text appears as it should, without the unwanted text.
Hello,
I have checked with the Outlook version available on Windows 11, and with the Outlook and Gmail mobile apps on a smartphone, and in neither case the subject contained anything.
I have uploaded a test website created with the same version you have:
https://eric-c.websitex5.me/progetti/outlook-test/
Could you please check what happens with your version of Outlook with that link?
Thank you.

Hi Eric
Same issue - see the image.
Thanks
Donald
Hello Donald,
thank you for checking, it would seem to be an issue with the interaction with this version of Outlook specifically.
We will look into it, in the meantime I would recommend setting up a default subject for the e-mail links created this way.

Thanks Eric, I'll get back to you after a month or so to ask if any progress has been made.
