So, its been a while, but still doing web stuff. I have an MP4 video uploaded on homepage kbradyplumbing.co.uk under page format - video plays OK, but no sound, cant fathom out why. I might as some previous poster upload to YT and link from there. It was working, but not sure what i have done? even if i upload as a video object, no sound? Any ideas or help TIA - using X5pro 2023.3.5 Beta

The video on the homepage plays with sound.
Automatic sound playback has probably been deactivated in the browser.

Thanks, I will investigate further, but unsure why as it has never been deactivated before and i tried different browsers. thanks
My Test:
Firefox = Video with sound
Chrome = Video but no sound
Edge = just a picture, no moving video and no sound either
Settings:
Chrome = Sound playback is allowed in the settings, but still no sound
Edge = Video and sound playback allowed in the settings, now the video works with sound
Result:
Now the video works with sound in Firefox and Edge.
Maybe I can also find a solution for Chrome, but if visitors do not allow this in their settings, then they will not see the video or will hear the video without sound.
To be on the safe side, the video would have to be inserted with the "Audio and Video" object so that visitors can start it.
(It > En) ... to hear the video's sound, you need interactivity, that is, you need to interact between the pages of your own site, even from one page to another...
...if the site is the one in your profile, opening the HOME page directly from this LINK won't start the video:
... This blockage occurs because it contains the audio track, and this has always been prohibited on mobile devices, and recently, about five years ago, it was also blocked in common PC browsers...
...but if you click on the HOME/Vip Scotland menu, or on CONTACT and then click on Vip Scotland, you'll notice that the video starts automatically with its audio enabled...
...alternatively, you could post an ad that, when clicked, reloads the page—an option worth trying...

@KolAsmin: A web address is given in Andy A.'s post, see
>> kbradyplumbing.co.uk
... thanks, Daniel, the same rules apply as before: interactivity is required...

...
... possibly with my own invention, you can add an EXTRA button to activate the audio...
